Etiquette when you are a newcomer..

Hye Assalamualaikum,

Today I want to talk about the etiquette when you are a newcomer.

Firstly don't 'SHOW-OFFS'. It is rude and useless to try to impress old timers by telling them how much better your old company handled matters or to point out mistake you see them making.Once you have established a working relationship with the other workers and with the manager, this is because your suggestions stand a much better chance of being accepted instead of resented.

Secondly is 'TOO FREINDLY TOO SOON'.Use some restrain in yourfirst few days on a new job.Give those already on the job a chance to make the freindly advances.

Thirdly is 'WHEN YOU ARE INVITED TO LUNCH'.Here are some tips, on our first day, a few persons may ask you to have lunch with them. Generally, you are expected to pay for your own lunch, even if your immediate superior is in the group. If you immediate superior invites you to have lunch with him or her alone, generally the superior pays for your lunch.

Lastly is 'USE OF FIRST NAMES IN THE OFFICE'. Basically, most modern offices are informal, and the use of first names among fellow employees is the usual practice. Nowadays, even in such office, there are situations where it is improper not to use a title (Mr.,Miss., Ms.,)and the last name.

Remember; the basic and most importnt rule is simple: you may follow the practice that has been established in your particular office.

How To Deal With Office Politics?

Hye Assalamualaikum
Today my topic is about ‘How To Deal With Office Politics’. Sound serious right. OK let me explain, there are two ways to deal with office political that is Unethical practices and Dealing with the unethical co-worker.
Unethical practices. Competition is healthy and desirable in most circumstances, but when the motivation to gain recognition and get ahead causes irrational, unethical behavior, it is clearly unhealthy. Honest, hard work, in the spirit of teamwork and cooperation, is the only ethical way to secure a raise or promotion. This type of challenge to a co-worker is natural and common. But unfair schemes and secret ploys to discredit and outdistance competing co-workers are unthinkable to an honest. Responsible person.
Last but not least is dealing with the unethical co-worker .If you are forced to deal with a co-worker who I action questionably in efforts to gain some favor or recognition above you do not be pushed into using similar strategy. Continue to work responsibly and see that your actions are fair and open for all to see. You may have to be patient, but keep in ,mind that there is something to the cliché that if you give people enough rope they will hang themselves.

Lastly, here I want to share are five key rules to consider when making an introduction:
1.Stand up
2. Smile
3. Always shake hands firmly
4. Make eye contact
5. Repeat the other person’s name

The Chinese New Year Celebrations

Hola, Assalam
My entry today I would share some information about the Chinese New Year Celebrations. This new year celebrated by all the Chinese , whatever their religion- Ancestor Worship, Buddhism . Taoism or Christianity.
The celebration of this New Year is marks at the end of one lunar calendar year and greets the beginning of the next, and all Chinese join in the celebration!
As a rule, the Chinese work extremely hard the whole year through . The only tome that most Chinese take a short, well- earned break is during the Chinese New Year festivities. Here in Malaysia you will find that some Chinese-Malaysians do not turn up for work for as long as two or three weeks.
On the Chinese New Year eve, a reunion dinner is held which all family members must try to attend. This dinner is of utmost importance because it is the one occasion when everybody in the family can be together.
Finally, the Chinese New Year visits can go on until the fifteenth day of the new year. This fifteenth day is called Chap Goh Meh by the Hokkien  that is one of the main Chinese dialect groups in Malaysia).

Birth

Hye, Assalamualaikum
In this entry, I would like to share a topic about Malay Custom for birth (confinement). As soon as the baby is born, both mother and child have to undergo a period of confinement (dalam hari) of forty-four days. During or at this time neither one of them is allowed to leave the house. This is also the time when the new mother undergoes a rather exhausting programmed where she is put on a special diet and is massaged daily so as to restore her to the physical state she enjoyed/happy before the vigorous experience of childbirth.
On the forty-four day, the confinement end (habis hari). Some of Malays families celebrate this event, others do not; they simply announce that ‘’ So-and –so sudah habis hari’’ (So-and- so is no longer in confinement). A token of thanks such as foods or fruits is usually sent to the mosque.
Lastly, if the mother has a job, she usually goes back any time after this and life for the mother continues as before.  The child starts on his new like now without the restrictions of confinement

Married

Hye, Assalmualaikum
  Today in my blog I will be talking about ‘Malay Wedding Ceremony’. There are  many ceremonies leading up to the actual wedding itself. A foreigner is most likely to be invited to the final ceremony - the Bersanding (sitting-in –state)-in the solemnization of a Malay Wedding. This is most colorful and joyful event where the bridal couple is treated as Royalty-for-the-day(Raja Sehari) and bride or the groom(or both) you may be invited to a few ceremonies preceding the Bersanding ceremony. These could be;
The Hantar Tanda – the statement of intent from the groom’s side
The Akad Nikah – the engagement
The Berinai – the ceremony where henna is painted on the bridge and groom’s palms and fingertips
Finally, from al the above, the Akad Nikah is the one compulsory ceremony as this is when the couple are religiously and legally declared as husband and wife.
That’s all just from me , enjoy reading.

'Every Step You Take'

Hye , Assalamualaikum
My topic today is about how to make the change that will change your life. First of all. Set a specific goal. Saying , I’ll not spend too much money starting from tomorrow’ will absolutely set you up for failure. Instead, state you ’’ll only spent RM 300 over the next month on clothing- it will gives you a measurable goal you strive for. Plus, the goal does not to have to be hard. ’’Make each step so easy you hardly notice yourself doing it. Think of it as gradually stretching your skills.
Otherwise is embrace mistakes. It’s fine if you screw up once in a while. This is because mistakes show that you’re striving for something and will teach you how to find your balance. Assess what obstacles got in your way so you’re prepared when the next time you come across them.
Lastly, say ‘bye’ to your comfort zone. This is because, to make change, you need to get comfortable with being uncomfortable. ‘’The better you get at getting out of your comfort zone, the faster you’ll improve your life’’.

Speaking of Speakers

Hye, a very good pleasure to all readers. Today, my topic is speaking of speakers. In this day and age, not having a functioning sound system in your car is almost unthinkable right. So follow these tips to keep your speakers in perfect condition.

First of all, keep dust of the speakers Every now and then, use a brush or duster to remove dust on the speakers. Please careful and make sure it doesn't get inside the net of the speaker or the interiors as it affects the performance. Occasionally, use a vacuum cleaner to suck up the dust, You can also use a blower to blow away the dust from the inside.

Secondly, clean them regularly. Do not use liquid cleaners though because the fluid will damage the amplifiers. Then, keep clear of metals. Especially those that are drawn to magnets or any magnetic sources as this can damage the build-in electromagnet.

Furthermore, cool it. Stock speakers do not usually come with a proper thermal design so keep them away from direct sunlight. Use a piece of cloth or even a sun reflection to keep sunlight from hitting your speakers at the back of the car.

Finally is volume down. Do not play your music too loudly. This forces resulting  in the  speakers voice coil breaking. If you want a louder sound, install more speakers.

Lastly, please 'take note' of the tips o get a good speaker conditions. That is all for today. I share because I care

ACE THAT JOB INTERVIEW !

Hye Assalamualaikum,

Today in my entries I want to talk about how to impress your interviewer with the right answers to these tough questions. So,here are the tips.

1.''TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF''
Your interviewer is not interested in your weekend activities or your love life.Focus on four topics instead-early years, education, work history, and your career experience.Keep it clean  and filter out what's irrelevant.

2.''WHY IS THERE A GAP IN YOUR CAREER HISTORY''
Whether it' is because you lost your job or tool a sabbatical,it's best to come clean. But make sure you highlight how you've used it productively, whether it is volunteering or freelancing on the side.

3.''WHY SHOULD I HIRE YOU''
If you did your homework on the position you're applying for, this question is a no brainer. Share why you are perfect for the job according to what's expected.

4.''DESCRIBE A TIME WHEN YOUR TEAM DID NOT AGREE WITH YOU''
This question is designed to find put how you handled conflict and how you behaved in that situation.Focus on the positive, not the negative. Tell your interviewer how you contributed as a team member, instead of how you spent your time mkling life difficult for everyone.

Last but not least, here is a wisdom from Michael J.Fox that I think are useful for our meditation.
''I am careful not to confuse excellence with perfection. Excellence, I can reach for, perfection is God's business.''

That is all for now,bye.
